Freedom Bloc

Freedom Bloc
   Known in the Burmese (Myanmar) language as the Htwet Yat Gaing, "Association of the Way Out"; established in October 1939 as an alliance of the Sinyetha Party, the Dobama Asiayone, and the All Burma Students Union. It asserted Burma's right to self-government. By 1941, most of its leaders were in jail or underground. Its president was Ba Maw and its secretary-general was Aung San.
